Michael joined the International Financial Services Industry in 1991 working first as an Adviser and later Regional Director Europe for Mondial Expatriate Services. In 1999, he joined Luxembourg based European Business Network S.A. to run the International Division. In 2003, Michael formed The Spectrum IFA Group with a number of colleagues. In 2009, he founded an IFA Trade Association, “The Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers (FEIFA)”. Michael is also a Board Member of another IFA trade association, La Fédération Européenne des Conseils et Intermédiares Financiers (FECIF).

Pippa Maile works as the head of France for Currencies Direct. She originally moved to France 15 years ago after selling a long standing business in the UK, and lived for 12 years in the south west of France where she bought up her family of 3 children.
Pippa was employed by Currencies Direct 8 years ago prior to that she had her own relocation agency working closely with numerous estate agents all over France.
5 years ago Pippa moved to the Riviera to open the first office in France for Currencies Direct. The team has grown over the years and now has a strong on the ground presence of 15 people.

Standard Bank’s simple yet very effective banking solutions and open honest approach to business attracted Rachel to join the Bank in 2012, initially to set up their Latin American business. Rachel became Head of the Isle of Man’s Distribution business in July 2016 and is immensely proud of the work carried out by her team who exist to nurture and further develop the global business into the future. Calum left the British Army in 2007 after serving for 24 years. Postings included Berlin, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Belize and Northern Ireland. Married for 15 years to Rosie, he settled well to civilian life, having worked as a project manager for the University of Glasgow before deciding to move permanently to France. For the last 8 years, Calum has worked for Currencies Direct as a regional coordinator covering the Brittany and Normandy regions. This includes promoting Currencies Direct at both national and international events such as le Tour de Finance, A Place in the Sun, The French Property Exhibition and The France Show. He is also responsible for looking after private clients, corporate clients and partners of Currencies Direct here in France.”

Sue Cook works in the Centre Ouest region of France for Currencies Direct. She moved to France 14 years ago to escape the rat race and bring up her family in a less pressurised environment.
Sue previously worked as an Estate Agent in Rochechouart and moved to Currencies Direct 5 years ago after being recommended by one of her previous clients.During that time her area has grown considerably and she now covers an area from south of the Loire to the Lot & Garonne.

Stéphanie is an avocat and founding partner of HNET. A graduate of Montpellier I University (PhD in international tax law – Master’s degree in business law – DJCE). Stéphanie has worked in a foreign fiduciary and in several law firms. A British and French national, having lived in the UK and in the Netherlands before relocating to France.
A lecturer in EDHEC and Montpellier I University for several years on international tax subjects, and author of various articles on tax residence, holding companies, trusts, inheritance planning.
Main activities :

Karolyn Chauvigne is the regional coordinator for Currencies Direct. She originally moved to France 20 years ago after working for many years as an Underwriter at Legal & General head office in Brighton/Hove in the UK.
Karolyn lives in the Loire Valley region of France with her French husband and 3 children. She was an Estate Agent for E.P.I. Immobilier in Saumur for 8 years, during which period she was a partner of Currencies Direct. Karolyn now works directly for Currencies Direct and covers the Maine et Loire and surrounding departments.

Robert Walker FCSI

Robert joined Rathbones in 2014 as Investment Director. He started his investment career over 20 years ago at Coutts & Co as portfolio manager in their investment department after graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Economics and Business Management in 1994.
After gaining his investment qualifications at Coutts he then moved to the private client division of Invesco Perpetual as Investment Director in 1998 and was responsible for the integration of Perpetual’s private client division, focussing on the management of both UK and international private client portfolios. In 2004, Invesco Perpetual sold their private client division to Singer & Friedlander and, in 2008, Robert joined Jupiter Asset Management with the same team of individuals he has worked with since 1995.
Finally, Jupiter sold their private client division to Rathbones in 2014, where Robert retains his specialism of managing investment portfolios for high net worth individuals, trusts, charities and pension funds, both in the UK and for international “ex-pats” by working in partnership with specialist financial advisors in Europe. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute.
